Betting Style #1
(Our Premier & Preferred Betting Strategy, Progressive-THE SUCCESSFUL STYLE) We have done a lot of calculations to realize that this is the best way to be profitable long term. Based on our picks and this betting style, we have done quite well over the long term. Once again, you need to use a comfortable bankroll so that you can play it out as suggested. (Progressive Style should only be used when betting one game per day)
This betting style involves a progression. It's a bit more aggressive but out of hundreds of picks, we are far ahead in overall profits even with a rare bankroll loss. Could we lose 5 in a row again? Of course, but it is rare and we have won many times the 31 unit buy-in you will see below over long term play. We will use the following betting progression:
1-2-4-8-16
What this represents is betting one unit to start, if you lose that game, you will progress up to the 2 unit bet and so on if there is a loss. Whenever you get a win, you will restart at the beginning of the progression with a one unit bet. We need a 31 unit bankroll so whatever is comfortable for you to use monetarily is what you will allocate for sports betting. So if you have $1023 to allocate for sports betting, you will be a $33 unit player ($33 x 31 total units = $1023). When you double this money you can then double your bets if you feel comfortable.
Side Note :
When you lose a bet, say $33, the next bet normally would be $66. However, because of the "juice" or house commission, you will need to bet a bit more on that next bet like $70 or so to then net the $33 base unit. You can calculate this as you go along because you will know how much you have to risk to win what you want.
Betting Style #2 This style involves percentage betting. For example, if you have a $1000 bankroll and the call for one of our selections is 15%, that means you would bet $150. This is another way to play that is a bit less conservative than flat betting but is less aggressive than our progression play (betting style #1)
Betting Style #3 This is a basic flat bet style If you choose this style, you would just bet the same amount on each game (depending on your bankroll). Eventually, you will want to progress to another style to increase your profit margins.
(Important)
We will be betting on American sports games (NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAAF, NCAAB, NHL). We will NOT be betting parlays or any high risk bets as these are just sucker bets. (Picks will come in the night before most of the time, or early morning EST. This is so our International clients will get full access well before game time). Also, the lines may change from the time we post our selections to when you place your wager. Always try to get as close to our posted lines as possible and if need be, buy 1/2 point or a point to narrow the gap. This especially helps when the line involves 1/2 point or a HOOK. It is always better to avoid the HOOK when you're taking a certain team to cover the point spread or OVER in a total. For example, if you take the Los Angeles Lakers -8.5 you would need them to win by 9 or more. If you can get the line at either 8 or 9, then you have a better chance of winning, pushing, or not getting beat by the HOOK. On the other hand, the HOOK can help if you are taking the (+) team or the UNDER in a total.
A note to clients outside the USA
Even when a pick is posted early AM here in the USA the day of the game, you will still have time to bet it as we go by USA time zone for the games. So even if it's much later where you live, we use USA times.
Betting Examples:
We bet the "point spread" or "over/under". For those who are new to sports betting, we will explain it with a couple of examples below:
Example #1 - Point Spread
New York Giants
at
Washington Redskins -7 -110
(This means the Giants are visiting the Redskins and the Redskins are 7 point favorites. The "-" sign may seem just the opposite but in reality, the -7 means the favorite. So let's say we are betting on the Redskins on this point spread. We are betting that the Redskins will win by 8 pts or more to win this pick. We have to win by at least one point or more to win the bet. If they win by exactly 7 pts, its a tie/push and you do not win or lose. If the Redskins win by only 6 (or less), you would lose the bet. The -110 means what you would have to wager to win $100. So to win $100 on this game, you would have to risk $110. You can risk less like $55 risked to win $50 or you can bet more like $220 risked to win $200, etc. On the flip side, if you bet the Giants, you would only have to risk $100 to win $110.)
Example #2 - Over/Under
Miami Heat
at
Detriot Pistons &n
bsp; -7 pts 187 pts -110
(As you can see, we will always have a point spread, (the -7) and we will also have an over/under which you can see at 187 pts. Since we are betting on the over/under on this game, let's say we bet the o
ver on this game. This means we think both teams will score a combined total of 188 pts (the over) or more to win this pick. So if the score ends up 100-88, we w
in. If it is under, we lose the pick. The -110 is the same as in the other example, you'd risk $110 to win $100.)
